I made this course out of frustration, having dozens of my consulting clients spend hundreds or thousands of dollars per month with large and reputable WordPress hosting providers, only to get dumpster performance, vague and silly limitations, overage charges and fair use policies, up-sells to the more expensive plan on every possible blip and blop.
My goal is to cover all major aspects of self-hosting a WordPress application, from managing plugin and theme updates, to database performance tuning and OS kernel updates. I'm also working to bring the VM vs. dedicated performance benchmarks, which some readers have asked for.
The first four modules and 20 lessons are completely free and open, no registration required, although I would appreciate it if you did, and will only occasionally send you stuff relevant to the course and self-hosting WordPress. The remaining modules (which I am currently working on) will be behind a paywall. There's early-bird pricing available for early-supporters.
