Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Seian because every wellbeing app I tried did the same thing: something feels off → "here's a breathing exercise." I didn't need a technique. I needed to understand what was actually happening.
Seian starts one step earlier. When you're in it, it helps you name what's pulling you off-centre before it offers anything — closer to a guide than a chatbot. It's grounded in Taoist and Stoic thought — it doesn't quote philosophers at you, it thinks like one.
Three simple pieces:
- AI Companion — learns your context, asks the right questions
- Struggle Check-In — for the acute moments; explains what's happening and gives you a foothold back to the present
- Journal — low-friction breadcrumbs, four honest mood tags: Anchored, Unsettled, Returning, Clear
Two things I care about a lot:
1. It's honest about what it is. Seian is not therapy and not a crisis service, and it says so. It has real crisis detection built in — if someone's in danger it steps back and surfaces local crisis lines (US/CA/UK/IE/AU/NZ + international) rather than trying to counsel them. Safety was the part I spent the most time on.
2. Cross-platform from day one — iOS and Android both live, same experience.
This is my first Product Hunt launch and I'm a solo founder — genuinely here for input on anything, especially the companion's voice. That's the whole product. Nothing is precious. Ask me anything 🙏
