Hi Product Hunt, I'm Talal, the developer of SeeMeEat.
I built SeeMeEat after looking at the paid plans from Cal AI and MyFitnessPal and thinking they were charging too much for everyday food tracking. I wanted to build something better for everyday people, at a much lower price.
SeeMeEat Pro is US $1.99 a month or $9.99 a year, including unlimited photo scans and meal descriptions. Local store prices apply. The goal is a useful food journal that ordinary people can afford to keep using.
Photograph or describe a meal, review the estimate, and correct it in plain words before logging. You can also scan barcodes and nutrition labels, search foods or log by hand. Calories, macros, water and weight stay together, and saved meals make repeat logging easier. It's available on iPhone and Android, and ready for iPhone Duo.
The demo uses sample meals and simulated estimates in a 3.1.2 development preview. Real nutrition estimates can be wrong, so review and correction matter.
If you've looked at food-tracking subscriptions and thought they cost too much, I'd love to hear from you. What features would make a fairly priced tracker worth using every day?
