Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m the maker of Secure Notes Vault. I built this because I lost trust in standard cloud-based note apps. Reading privacy policies about AI training and employee data access made me realize I needed a place to store sensitive work configurations, API keys, and personal journals without anxiety. So, I built Secure Notes Vault with a strict zero-knowledge architecture. Here is how the privacy actually works: 1. When you type a note, it is encrypted locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API (AES-256-GCM). 2. Your Master Key is derived from your password using 600,000 PBKDF2 iterations. 3. Only the Base64 ciphertext ever touches our database. We physically cannot read your notes. There is no backdoor. If you lose your password, your data is gone forever. This is the tradeoff for absolute privacy. Currently, we support Rich-Text editing, encrypted Kanban boards, and Voice Notes. It's completely free to use for all core features.
