Over the years, I've worked with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, information security governance, and compliance programs in the financial services and payments industry. One challenge I kept seeing was that many organizations still manage risks, controls, audits, assets, and compliance requirements using spreadsheets and disconnected tools. That's why I created SecBoard. SecBoard Community Edition is an open-source ISMS/GRC platform designed to help organizations manage risk, compliance, incidents, assets, access reviews, and security governance in a single platform. It supports frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR and can be self-hosted with a free community license for up to 100 users. With this launch, we've also opened the platform under AGPL v3 as an Open Core project, making it easier for security teams, NGOs, startups, and small organizations to build and improve their security programs without expensive enterprise software.
