Divorced parents who can't be near each other. Weird family dynamics I had to tiptoe around. Friends from different parts of my life who don't know a single other person at the table. And I really wanted long banquet tables, which makes seating even harder because everyone's in a row and you can't hide anyone in a corner. I spent hours in a spreadsheet. Every time I moved one person, it broke three other things. I thought: why is there no tool that just... handles this? So we built Seatbee. We used Claude Code to build it fast. Claude wrote most of the core logic, which let us actually validate the idea instead of burning out on boilerplate. What I'm most proud of: It actually works. The AI respects constraints: who sits together, who stays apart, VIPs, dietary needs. You set the rules, it figures out the rest. Pricing is honest. We talked to brides and asked: "Would you pay $9/month for a tool you use once?" Everyone said no. So we did one-time pricing. $69 per event, no subscription. It's modern.
