Hi all,
I've created Seams-CMS because I felt that the current headless CMS systems that are on the market didn't satisfy my needs. Some of them are very focussed on developers only, leaving content editors with developer tasks (write this in HTML, define where to place this block on a mobile page, etc). Other CMS systems are much more focused on content managers (here is a page: fill content here and there and add an image at the top).
I've tried to come up with a system that would leave the developer tasks to the developers while allowing content editors to focus on content only.
Since it's a headless CMS system, it's not a system to quickly push a website online, although you can do this with the help of for instance GatsbyJS if you like (I've written a blog about this: https://blog.seams-cms.com/entry...).
In the next couple of months, I will be spending getting the CMS out there into the wild and maybe implement some new features that are on the list (it's hard not to fall into the trap of keeping on developing).

Here's some feedback from a designer's point of view.
As a potential user browsing for a cms what I'm looking at is aesthetic value, which Seams-CMS unfortunately lacks. Landing page linked here seems outdated design-wise, especially with that stock photo (or stock photo-looking picture) near the footer on desktop, and a very dull color palette.
Not everyone is paying attention to features. First we're captivated by accessible and intuitive design, approachable color scheme and human connection, then we evaluate the product with pros and cons.
While I do believe it's a valid product, the website looks to be very quickly thrown together, and lacks general direction. Also it doesn't go along with the dashboard design as pictured in screenshots.
A general "face-lift" of the whole thing would make wonders.

hi @hellobetkowski. Thanks for your feedback. Really appreciate it. You mention the problem i'm having often when thinking of new idea's and concepts. I'm not a designer (nor pretending to be one), and as such i'm pretty much forced to reuse standard themes & templates. I'm really curious how other non-designers deal with this issue, as i'm surely not the only one.

It can be intimidating to venture outside your comfort zone when it comes to design, but once you expose yourself to current trends and start recognising what's good and what's not, it's downhill from there. I recommend reading a lot of trend articles on Medium, keeping up with "Web Design" subpage on Dribble and Behance, and just copying what you like.
And start small. Minimalism is big right now, which is to your advantage, see what floats your boat, and use it as guidance for what you're trying to say with your product, what statement you want to make.
And if you have any questions or want some feedback in the future, hit me up, I'll do my best to help.
