Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m excited to introduce Sealshot, a privacy-first, smart screen capture workspace for Mac.
I built Sealshot because I want to make screen/video capturing, organizing a smooth experience while preserving privacy and security. One vision is that on-device AI will be more powerful moving forward and capturing visuals can become a fancy way to preserve/process information.
With Sealshot, you can:
• Capture screenshots and scrolling content
• Record your screen
• Annotate and organize captures
• Search captured text using on-device OCR
• Review and redact potentially sensitive information
• Optionally encrypt your capture library
Sealshot requires no account and includes no cloud upload or telemetry. Processing stays on your Mac.
It’s available for macOS 14 and later, with a free 14-day trial.
Sealshot is still evolving, and I’d especially appreciate your feedback:
• Does the privacy-first approach solve a problem you care about?
• Which feature would make Sealshot useful in your daily workflow?
• Is anything unclear or missing from the onboarding experience?
Thanks for taking a look! I’ll be here throughout the launch to answer questions and learn from your feedback.
