Hey Product Hunt š
We built Scroll Brake because every other app blocker has the same fatal flaw: when your time's up, you just tap "Ignore Limit" and you're back in. Willpower alone doesn't stand a chance against apps engineered to hijack your attention.
Scroll Brake works differently. When your daily limit hits zero, it doesn't offer an easy bypass ā it hands you a randomly generated math problem. That tiny bit of friction is enough to snap you out of autopilot scrolling and give your brain a second to ask "do I actually need this right now?" Usually the answer is no.
What makes it different:
š§® Math Puzzle Barrier ā the only way past a limit is solving a quick equation, not tapping a button
š Unbreakable Shield ā built on Apple's official Screen Time API, so it can't be swiped away or bypassed
ā±ļø Custom Daily Limits ā set limits per app, per category, or per website
š Activity Insights ā see today's usage and 7-day trends
šµļø 100% Private ā everything runs locally, we never see your data
Built for anyone who's realized "just checking one thing" turns into 45 minutes gone ā professionals doing deep work, students avoiding procrastination, people with ADHD who need external structure, or anyone just trying to reclaim a little sanity from their phone.
Would love your feedback ā what would make this even harder to bypass? š

Hey everyone, thank you so much for checking out Scroll Brake! š
We're a small team building this because we genuinely struggled with mindless scrolling ourselves, and we want Scroll Brake to actually solve that ā not just be another blocker people disable after two days.
So we'd love your input:
Have you tried other blockers before? What made you stop using them?
Is the "math puzzle" friction the right amount ā enough to interrupt the habit without being annoying, or would you want it adjustable?
What features would make this a daily-use tool for you ā Apple Watch support, weekly reports, group/family accountability, something else?
Anything confusing or unclear in the onboarding or setup? We want it to be dead simple.
Drop your thoughts, questions, or even brutal feedback below ā we read everything and this early stage is exactly when your input can shape the roadmap the most.
