ScreenQuest: End Doomscrolling

Blocking apps doesn’t work. Friends do. 🤝📱

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m excited (and a little nervous 😅) to launch ScreenQuest, a social screen time tracker built to solve a problem most app blockers fail at: accountability. I tried app blockers. I disabled them. I reinstalled Instagram. You probably did too. So instead of fighting willpower, I built ScreenQuest, where your friends help you stay focused.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m the maker of ScreenQuest — thanks so much for stopping by ❤️ I built ScreenQuest after realizing something uncomfortable: App blockers don’t fail because we’re weak — they fail because they’re easy to bypass. So instead of more restrictions, I tried a different approach: 👉 Social accountability. ScreenQuest lets you share your screen time with friends, compete on leaderboards, send friendly “nudges” when someone is doomscrolling, and take part in focus challenges together. No shaming, no control — just visibility and motivation. A few things I’d love feedback on: - Does social accountability feel motivating or stressful to you? - Would you use this with friends, family, or classmates? - What feature would help you reduce screen time the most? This is an Android-first app and still evolving — your feedback will directly shape what I build next. Thanks again for checking it out, and happy to answer any questions here 🙌🚀
