The screen recorder that works backwards

You're debugging or demoing something on screen—and then it's gone. "I should have been recording." We've all been there. screenclip.fast buffers your browser tab continuously. When something worth saving happens, click the clip button to save the last 5, 10, or 30 seconds. No more missed moments. No more re-creating bugs. Built for developers, designers, QA, and founders. Privacy first, everything stays local. No servers, no uploads. Free to start. Pro unlocks longer buffers.

Hey👋, I built screenclip.fast out of frustration from my 9-5. Clients would call about bugs in our SaaS, but by the time I'd log on to investigate, the issue had vanished. "Can you show me what happened?" "It's gone now." I wanted a screen recorder that works backwards, one that's always quietly buffering so you can save what just happened, not what you remembered to record. That's screenclip.fast. Click a button, grab the last 15, 30 seconds. Done. Would love your feedback. What features would make this more useful for you?

Congrats! How do you think about privacy of data you're collecting?

@daniele_packard Because the extension requires the activeTab, tabs, and scripting permissions, Chrome displays a generic message saying it can “read and change data”. This is standard Chrome wording for extensions that interact with the current tab. In reality, Screenclip.fast only accesses the active tab when you click the extension, purely to capture the area you choose. It does not monitor browsing, modify page content, or collect any data. All processing happens locally.
