Scener

I made an account with Scener roughly a year ago for my long distance relationship, I then canceled my subscription and my account at the beginning of last summer (roughly 8 months ago). Scener no longer acknowledges my account as existing nor has it since I've canceled my membership, however they continued to charge my account for 8 months. Once I realized this and verified that I no longer had an account I called three times and never once was there a person to talk to or a voicemail box. I emailed them and a week later they told me that they canceled my subscription for me and erased my card information but refused to refund me even though my account hasn't been active or existent for the better half of a year. I do not recommend, it is a total scam.

I missed my watch party because nothing would work, tried it on multiple devices, with and without WiFi. I stayed up until 3 am for that watch party just for it not to work. Very angry.

My daughter and I are separated during the quarantine and have specifically been looking for something like this. We love chatting during home movies. Miss the theater expereince, but this is a totally different thing.

Scener was a staple of my 3-month stint living apart from my wife during LAUNCH accelerator. As much of a “nice to have” as it might seem, it helped us stay connected and, therefore, happier. :) thanks for building this!!

My best friend and I get together weekly to watch TV together, even though we live in different states! Because of my compromised immune system, I'm about to be moving to live by myself, so I'm looking forward to being able to continue using Scener to watch TV with people so that I don't get as lonely. <3

We have really enjoyed using Scener so far. It made for a very cool birthday meetup for my 11 yo son and a couple of his friends. It's exciting that the company seems to constantly be taking feedback and tweaking to make it better. we seem to always stumble a bit getting a group started but i think its because the tool updates frequently and therefor it needs to be updated on your computer frequently. down the road it would be awesome if we could use Scener to access movies and shows on our other streaming accounts (iTunes, Hulu, etc.).

I highly recommend Scener. I have been using it for a while now (started with the Beta version) and the recent update has made it even better. As a college student with friends in a lot of different states, this makes it easier to connect and enjoy shows together.
