The idea started when I created a frame and realised there was a full story behind it that lived only in my head.
That made me wonder, what if a physical frame could carry its own story?
I explored different ways to attach meaning to it and eventually landed on QR codes as the simplest bridge between physical art and digital storytelling.
Then it became clearer that this wasn’t just my idea. Many photographers, artists, and gift vendors already try to add written notes beside frames, especially for romantic or sentimental gifts. But those notes often disrupt the visual beauty of the piece.
So the question became, how do we preserve both emotion and aesthetics at the same time?
That led to building a way to keep frames clean while still letting their full story be experienced when scanned.
Thinking further about people who do not want anything placed on their artwork at all, I also explored three alternative ways to place QR access around a frame without touching the visual design or compromising the artwork.
