I like Wispr Flow, but I wanted dictation I could buy once and own. Everything good was subscription-only, so I built SayOnce for myself. Two things I cared about most: - Zero setup. The right speech model is preselected - install, hold the hotkey, and your first dictation just works. No model picking, no config screens. - Runs on any PC. Fully local (audio never leaves your machine), no GPU required, and it works even on older / low-end CPUs. Hold a hotkey, speak, and the text lands in any app - and it comes out properly punctuated and split into paragraphs, not one run-on blob. It also batch-transcribes audio/video files into clean text. It's rules-based (no AI/LLM) on purpose: nothing goes to the internet, so it's fast and there's no per-use cost. One-time purchase, Windows-only for now. Happy to answer anything!
