We built Savvy because figuring out the “best” way to pay for something became surprisingly complicated.

You might have 2–5 credit cards, different cashback rates, bank offers, reward points, merchant discounts, and changing deals - and still end up wondering: “Which card should I actually use for this ₹5,000 purchase?”

Most existing tools focus on comparing or recommending credit cards. We wanted to solve the problem that happens after you already have the cards: what should I use right now?

So we started with a simple idea: enter a merchant and purchase amount, and Savvy should tell you the smartest way to pay.

As we built it, the idea evolved beyond just card optimization. We added offers, rewards, wallet analysis, redemption insights, and an AI assistant so Savvy could understand the entire rewards picture instead of looking at one transaction in isolation.

One principle stayed constant throughout the process: AI should explain the recommendation, not make up the numbers. The actual cashback, rewards, discounts, and savings are calculated through deterministic rules, while AI helps make those results understandable and useful.
