Paste an x.com or twitter.com post link with a public video, preview its details, and save the best available quality — free, no account, no ads, no added watermark. One video at a time, up to 30 min / 500 MB, temporary files auto-delete in ~30 minutes.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of SaveOne. The X (Twitter) video downloader at saveone.pro/twitter-video-downloader is the feature I want to talk about today.
The backstory: someone sends me an X post with a great video, and my options were — screen-record it, or hand my email to yet another "free downloader" that mints watermark videos and bundles toolbars. I built SaveOne because saving a public video should be a two-second task, not a lead-generation funnel.
How it works: paste an x.com/twitter.com post URL with a public video → preview the title, duration, and estimated size → download the best quality the platform currently offers. No login, no watermark added by us. It's also the honest version of the genre:
Public videos only — one at a time, no playlists or private content
Up to 30 minutes / 500 MB, and temp files auto-delete after ~30 minutes
Independent of X — no affiliation, and we respect the source platform's terms
Under the hood it's FastAPI + yt-dlp, serves 8 languages, and works on mobile. This page is the X-specific entry point; the same engine also covers YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit.
Happy to answer questions about the tech, the edge cases (region blocks, bot checks, silent files — real things!), or the product decisions. Feedback welcome.
