Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m back with a massive update to SafeMind. When I launched V1, I challenged myself to build a "Offline Mental Health Tool" in 7 days—a 100% offline mental health app with zero sign-up walls and no cloud syncing. The response was incredible, but it highlighted a clear need: people wanted more than just a reactive crisis tool; they wanted a daily companion they could actually trust with their data. Welcome to V2. Scaling an offline-first architecture using Cursor to handle this level of complexity has been an incredible exercise in local data management. I’ve dramatically expanded the app’s footprint while staying violently true to the original manifesto: Your data stays on your hardware. What is new in this update: 1. iOS Availability: SafeMind is now officially live on the Apple App Store! 2. Security for your thoughts: You asked for privacy from people who might pick up your phone. V2 introduces PIN locks, Face ID/Fingerprint support, and a local device-verification recovery system. 3. Proactive Daily Habits: I built a new 'Today' tab for routines, a deeply expanded Journal (with day-of-year rotating prompts and mood trends), and an offline ambient sound mixer for sleep. 4. Local Backups: You can now export your encrypted JSON data locally to switch devices without ever uploading to a server. 5. The "Streak" Philosophy: In V1, I was strictly against gamified tracking. In V2, I've introduced local, private completion logs. They aren't there to trigger dopamine or serve ads; they exist purely as a private mirror for your own self-care momentum. I’m incredibly proud of how this offline ecosystem has matured. I’d love your ruthless feedback on the new UX, the ambient sound mixer, and the onboarding flow. The offline-only approach actually makes me feel safe opening up, which is rare. The ambient audio mixer with journaling has become part of my morning routine without trying to be everything.
