I came up with this idea a few years ago after witnessing some amazing crowdmaps created out of some countries where violent atrocities were being committed. These maps showed people where not to go....and showed the world what was happening. I was also inspired by the amazing posts on twitter in Iran and other areas during uprisings. I thought an easy to use map app could be powerful if we got everyone on there to share info.
