Safe Access came directly out of Retrolux as CEO, Leif Elgethum heard stories from several contractors who were barred from entering project sites. Clearers, installers, and contractors of all sorts were getting pulled off of sites or getting a lot of rapid-fire new rules for access. After contemplating this as a Retrolux feature, it quickly became obvious this needed its own mission and team. Leif quickly gathered a small team of innovators, creatives, and engineers. In the interest of public good, Safe Access was born. We are excited to offer an open-source version of this project and to continue to develop more features to help locations open safely when they are ready.
