Safai is a fast, all-in-one cleaner for Mac and Windows. It finds the caches, duplicates, old downloads and developer junk eating your disk and clears them in one click. You also get a disk map, a startup manager, live memory and CPU, and a malware check, in a 17 MB app that maps your disk faster than CleanMyMac. Free for 7 days, then $29.99 once, no subscription.

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Ishtmeet, and I built Safai - a disk cleaner for Mac and Windows.
If you write code you probably know the feeling - the disk is full again and a big chunk of it is caches you never asked for. Xcode DerivedData, pnpm and npm caches, Cargo, Go modules. Everyone else has the same problem with app caches, old downloads and the same video saved in three places.
Safai scans the whole disk in one go and shows you where the space went. Then you clear it with one click. Here's what's in it -
Smart scan for system junk, logs, app and developer caches
Disk map, where every folder is a bubble you can tap into
Duplicates, compared byte for byte, not by file name
Large and old files you haven't opened in months
Browser caches, without signing you out of anything
Startup items, so fewer apps launch when you log in
Live memory and CPU, with a Quit button for whatever's misbehaving
A malware check that runs on your machine
I've spent a lot of time on speed and size. It's written in Rust. On a MacBook Pro M1 Max it mapped the disk in 22 seconds (CleanMyMac took 35 on the same Mac) and used about 225 MB of memory doing it, against 1.3 GB for CleanMyMac. The app is 17.6 MB, and nothing of it runs in the background until you open it.
It also stays away from things a cleaner shouldn't touch - git repos, project folders, iCloud Drive and Dropbox, keychains and backups. Whatever it clears sits in its own trash until you empty it. No account, no telemetry, and your files never leave your computer.
You can try all of it free for 7 days, with no account, and wash up to 5 GB. After that the scan keeps working, and washing needs a license. Pricing is $29.99 once with two years of updates, or $49.99 for updates forever. Each extra computer is $10, so a household with three machines pays $49.99 total. For launch, POLARLAUNCH20 takes 20% off either plan.
It runs on macOS 13.3 or later (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 and 11.
I'm around all day.
I'd really like to hear what's eating your disk that Safai doesn't catch yet, and whether anything looks off on your setup.
