Rushd (رُشد) is a media-intelligence platform for the Arab world, Ground News for Arabic news. It pulls 30 regional & global sources, clusters every article about the same event, and reveals how each outlet frames it differently. The core idea: bias isn't a fixed label on a source, it's a position an outlet takes on a specific story, and it shifts story to story. Rushd maps that divergence, the blind spots, and what goes unsaid, so you can read past the spin and see the whole picture.
One thing I'd love to see is a side-by-side translation toggle so I can compare how the same story is framed in Arabic versus English coverage. It would make the bias differences even more revealing, especially when local outlets handle international news differently than global ones reporting on the same event.
Love the framing-as-position approach, that genuinely changes how I'd read Arab news coverage. One concrete suggestion: add a "first reported" timestamp for each cluster so you can see which outlets actually broke the story versus which ones waited and then framed it their way. Would make the blind spot analysis way more useful and expose reactive reporting patterns across the 30 sources.
The framing comparison feature sounds really useful for cutting through regional spin. One thing I'd love to see is a "share this cluster with my own annotations" option, basically letting you pull a few articles from across the bias spectrum, drop in notes on what you noticed, and send that as a single link to a friend or family member who's asking what's actually going on in the news.
