Hello Product Hunt, Hunters, and Makers, I wanted to introduce something new that we made! When we heard about the NHS looking for volunteers and witnessed the sheer volume of people signing up to help (including ourselves) we figured we wanted to help. The NHS already has a lot on its plate, so as the entrepreneurs we are, with experience in finding the right people for the job and getting things done (mammalo.com), we thought of making a platform where the elderly and most vulnerable can post a request for items that we then collect and deliver! We live streamed ourselves making the company from start to finish yesterday night and are launching now! We completed the MVP in 4 hours :) Granted, we ran into some issues so we didn't go live until 10am this morning but hey, we made it. How does it work? We allow the Elderly to post their phone number, address, and a request. We then process it behind the scenes, add it to a public Trello board where it's up for grabs by any of the volunteers and then wait for it to be completed. We call the people in need to quickly check how they were thinking to pay for the 'Supply Run' (mostly cash or bank transfer in some cases). However, we don't want to discourage people who are not able to pay in full or are struggling, so we'll try our best to accommodate. If you know anyone on the BBC or another major news sources, please let us know! Our target audience doesn't tend to hangout on Instagram and Twitter unfortunately, so we're finding creative ways to get to them :) Looking forward to hearing your feedback and seeing the responses in general!
