Runcaster connects to Garmin and coaches from your real data — splits, heart rate, elevation, even the weather you ran in. Chat with your coach to build a training plan, and it adapts after every run: get sick, travel, or blow up on Tuesday, and the week reshuffles. Workouts push to your watch as structured steps. It remembers your goals and injuries between conversations. No watch? Start in chat and connect a Garmin later. 14-day free trial, no credit card. Solo dev/runner in Hoover, Alabama.
Hello! Solo dev and runner here.
Runcaster started with my wife pasting screenshots of her Garmin runs into ChatGPT and asking "was this a good run? should I run tomorrow?" The advice was fine, but it was blind — no history, no splits, no heart rate, and she re-explained her goals every single time.
So I built the version with eyes. Runcaster connects to Garmin through the official API and your coach already knows your running before you say a word. You chat to build a training plan, and it adapts after every workout — tell it your knee is acting up or you're traveling Thursday, and the plan reshapes around your life. Planned workouts push to your watch as structured steps (intervals, pace and HR targets on your wrist), and after each run you get honest feedback on what the plan asked for vs. what you actually ran.
A few honest notes: it's running and walking focused (cyclists and swimmers, not yet). It's not a medical device and won't pretend to be. It works without a watch too — plans and check-ins in chat, connect a Garmin whenever. And your data is never sold or used to train models; you can see and delete everything the coach remembers about you, from inside the app.
14-day free trial, no card. I'd genuinely love hard feedback — I'm one person and this is how the product gets better. I'll be here all day answering everything.
PH-exclusive: use code PRODUCTHUNT — sign up free, then email support@runcaster.app with the code and I'll extend your trial to 3 full months.
