Hey Product Hunt! Tural here, founder of Run With Me ๐๐ป
I built this for a simple reason: I'm a runner, and for years I ran alone โ not by choice, but because there was no easy way to find someone at my pace, discover a local club, or know when a run event was happening near me.
Every running app I tried was great at one thing: tracking. Distance, pace, your own numbers. But running is one of the most social things humans do, and the human part was always missing. And the big apps are built for Western markets โ they don't localize the language, the pricing, or the community for the rest of the world, where the running boom is just as real.
So Run With Me is the opposite of a solo tracker. It's the social layer:
๐ค Find runners near you, matched by pace, location, and schedule
๐ Join and climb local running clubs
๐ Discover and organize real running events
๐ฅ Challenges, shared runs, and a feed that pushes you to actually show up
The number I care about most isn't installs โ it's "ran together": people who found each other in the app and physically went for a run. That's the whole point, and it's already happening.
We're live on iOS and Android, growing across 11 countries entirely organically โ zero paid marketing so far. It's early, it's raw, and that's exactly why I'd love your feedback.
Try it, break it, and tell me honestly โ what's fire and what's trash. I read and reply to everything today. ๐
And if you're a runner who's ever wished you had a crew โ this is for you. โ

๐ก Bright idea
Pace matching actually works well, found a partner within a day who runs the same 9 min/mile as me near the park. Route planning and Apple Watch sync make it feel polished for a free app.

@naciyeazderhgeย This is the review we screenshot and send each other ๐ Pace matching landing within a day and the Watch sync feeling seamless is the whole bet we made glad it's paying off for you near the park. We keep the core free on purpose, so it means a lot that "polished" is the word you reached for. See you out there try sharing that park route so the next 9 min/mile runner can find it ๐

How does the matching algorithm actually work for finding a partner in a new city I just moved to, especially if I'm visiting for just a weekend and don't have an established running history on the app yet?

@bilalalpernujbย Great question. Matching doesn't need any run history it works from your first minute in the app. When you sign up you tell us your typical pace and city, and that's all the algorithm needs. Your Match % with another runner is built from three things:
Pace compatibilityย (biggest factor) how close your pace is to theirs,
Same city, and
Same country.
So even on day one with zero runs, you'll get real matches based on pace.
For a weekend trip, one tip: in Buddies โ Search, type the city you're visiting in the city filter to see local runners there, and check "Runners today" to find people who are actually out running that day. (Right now the app centers on your home city by default, so the manual city search is the way to surface partners while you're travelling we're working on automatic "runners near you right now" based on live GPS so visitors get matched without any extra steps.)

๐ Pixel perfection
Love that the matching is filtered by pace and location first, it skips the awkward โwait, can you even keep upโ conversation entirely. Clean execution on a real pain point.

@zlemeng6ย You nailed exactly why we built it this way ๐ Pace + location first means the "can you actually keep up" question is answered before you ever message someone โ so every match starts on equal footing. Thanks for seeing the intent behind the execution. Happy running ๐

What's new in Run with me ๐
When we launched, the feedback we heard most was: "the pace-based matching is the whole point it skips the awkward first run with a stranger." So this update doubles down on exactly that โ and makes it faster, more honest, and more local.
โ Verified Pace Matching used to trust the pace you typed at signup. Now it's computed from your real runs and shown with a โ badge. When you match with someone, that "9:00/mi" is proven not a guess.
โก See why you matched Every match now tells you the reason at a glance Close pace, Same city, or exactly how many seconds/km faster or slower they run. No more staring at a mystery percentage.
๐ Runners near you now New live-GPS discovery: find opted-in runners around you this minute perfect for a new neighborhood or a weekend in another city. (We never show anyone's exact location only a distance.)
๐ Matched in your first minute The moment you set your pace during onboarding, we show you real matches right there. "Found a partner within a day" โ within a minute.
๐บ๐ธ Miles & min/mile Full imperial support
switch to miles and min/mile in Settings. Your whole app, your units.
๐ธ Share your run, your way A redesigned Instagram share screen with real route art, multiple templates, and 8 photo filters to drop your run stats straight onto your own photos.

the pace-based matching is such a smart way to fix the awkward first run with a stranger, love that it takes the guesswork out before you even meet. clean execution on something that could easily feel clunky.

@hakan38824ย "Takes the guesswork out before you even meet" - that's the line we'll be stealing ๐ The first run with a stranger should feel easy, and pace matching upfront is how we get there. It could absolutely have felt clunky, so hearing "clean execution" is the best kind of feedback. Go enjoy those runs and if you find a great route, share it so the next runner can too ๐
