Run Lines

Every actor has their own favorite methods to learn lines. Some like to write them down, some listen to them on the road, but - let's be honest now - most of us need to run them over and over again with a patient friend. Run Lines allows you to run your lines with Alexa, so the tedious task of memorising can be interactive and entertaining! And Alexa will help you if you forget a line or get it wrong. To use Run My Lines, please first create an account on our website (https://runlines.me) which also offers lots of other useful tools to help you learn your lines. Once your scripts are loaded on the website, it's time to meet your scene partners. Just say "Alexa, run my lines", and let the rehearsal begin. Break a leg! GOOD TO KNOW: - No shame in forgetting lines (while rehearsing, that is)! Just say "Help me" and Alexa will whisper your next line. - Alexa needs to learn her lines too! For that reason, you first need to create an account on https://runlines.me and load your scripts there. - You can easily import your scripts on the website by recording yourself reading them, importing them from another line learning tool, uploading a PDF or image, or by simply typing lines manually - whichever feels easier. - You can select different accents and voices while creating characters (i.e. your scene partners) on the website. - Don't feel ready to run lines with Alexa yet? Use the tools on the website to prep: type your lines in the gaps and check if they're correct, print a copy with gaps to write on, or download an audio clip for the road. - In the next version: Let Alexa challenge with you with random cues!
