how does it handle receipts in different languages or currencies, and can it pull in transactions from my bank directly instead of snapping everything manually?
@ebru1lidΒ Great questions!
Languages β Receipt scanning runs on Gemini's vision AI, which handles multiple languages reasonably well out of the box, not something hard-coded to English only. That said, we've mainly tested it against English and Roman Urdu receipts so far β if you try it with something else and it trips up, I'd genuinely love to hear about it so we can tune it.
Currencies β Right now each business has one set currency, and receipt scanning assumes the receipt is in that same currency. It doesn't auto-detect or convert foreign-currency receipts yet β that's a real limitation, not a hidden feature I'm glossing over.
Bank sync β Not yet. Today it's voice, receipt photo, or manual entry only. Direct bank/transaction import is something we're seriously considering for the roadmap (this isn't the first time it's come up), but it's not live. I'd rather be straight about that than oversell it.
Really appreciate you asking β this is exactly the kind of feedback that shapes what we build next. If bank sync is a dealbreaker for you right now, happy to personally ping you if/when we ship it.
Voice entry is genuinely fast, almost instant categorization after I described a few sales. The shareable month-end recap card is a nice touch for sending straight to my WhatsApp groups.
Really glad the voice entry felt fast β that was actually the hardest part to get right under the hood (getting speech recognition to not duplicate or mangle words took several iterations), so it means a lot to hear it just works smoothly in practice.
And the recap card is honestly my favorite thing we built. There's something nice about a small business owner getting to feel proud of their month the same way people feel proud of their Spotify Wrapped. Did you end up sharing it in the group yet? Would love to hear how people reacted.
Thanks so much for trying it out and taking the time to comment! π
