Hi everyone! I'm the co-founder of routes.guide.
We are an app where people can find routes - places connected together on a map.
Routes gives you a super simple platform to find awesome stuff to do in a day.
Examples of routes are:
* City exploring
* Date nights
* Pubcrawls on a budget
* Bike rides with epic views
* Hangover day by the beach
* Tokyo feel in San Francisco
Routes is a platform that shows perfectly planned days made by locals. These are called routes. Every route is filled with pictures, ratings, navigation, transit directions and a (soon to be) offline map, that we aggregate from third party services. In this way you can save hours of planning and use fewer applications when you plan your trip.
It's really great to have this platform if you come to a new city, or just want to explore the place you live in.
Routes is currently in 5 cities, but we open new ones when we hit at least 20 routes in a city.
Growth rate has been about 2 cities a week.

@chezacke Yes, that is exactly what Routes is all about. Currently you can only create routes in our webapp (routes.guide) but we are building the create feature for mobile these days!

I've always wanted something like this. How many times are you hanging out with friends saying, "What do you wanna do?" and everyone shrugs and says I'm up for whatever? It's a great social model with a million potential monetization streams. I always thought Yelp, or Google or even Tripadvisor would come up with a succinct "Date Night/Activity" guide, but I've never seen any proposals this close to what I want. Wish you all the success!
Great app. Wish I had this when I was traveling Europe. Pubcrawls on a budget might be the best thing I've ever heard. Does the app show other people who are on the same route? Would be cool to make some friends while traveling and seeing the same things.
HI Andreas, firstly congratulations on creating such a neat looking and smooth app. I love the fact that I can select specific event based routes for the available cities. Question though - how does one add a route to the app? Can't I create my own route here? And where are you curating these routes from?
@akhilchandra Hi Akhil:-) Thanks! Currently you can only create routes in our webapp (routes.guide), but we are planning to launch it in the upcoming months. The routes are created by everyone, and the community and our algorithm decides which routes is shown for the users, based on likes and views.

Excellent idea. Would love to see it being used by our guests in Edinburgh & Glasgow. Big opportunity to monetise when you are essentially dealing with people that are saying "show me places to go and things to do in a city that's foreign to me". And an app I would love to use. What cities are you in now?
Love the idea, and the product looks really good. My day to day is an Android device... what are your plans for Android? And why no mailing list on the 'get' subdomain linked here?
Thanks @tomfrauenfelder! We plan to release the Android version later this year. We will give you a heads up! You can signup on www.routes.guide (our website) :-)
