I discovered Rooners when I was looking for ways to encourage my friends and family to keep active during the lockdown. My parents needed motivation specifically. With Rooners, I was able to send running and walking challenges to get others to exercise, but I also quickly realised that the social challenge motivation was working on me too! It's a way to make what would normally be a solo run/walk into something fun and social. So I wanted to share with the ProductHunt community in case others feel the same need. A quick question to the makers: when I send a challenge for 5k but end up running longer, the app doesn't seem to track my run beyond the 5k. Is that intentional?

Let’s us know we’re doing our jobs right 😌 To answer your question, rooners is based on a one-on-one racing mechanism in which runners complete a predetermined distance, so we don’t track your run after the race ends. If you’d like us to add the further distance you run after a race to your stats, try starting a quick solo race. Good racing!

@yelda_uzun Thanks for the quick response! I see how the racing mechanism works, but it would be awesome if the app tracked the rest of my run/walk after the target distance is done for personal view. Would love it if you can consider as a feature request! :)
