RoomTuned analyzes your room acoustics from a short clap recording and turns it into a clear, actionable treatment plan. Upload a 5–7s recording from your phone and RoomTuned analyzes it and tells you what’s wrong and how to fix it with actionable treatment recommendations. No equipment, no technical knowledge. Results in about a minute. It’s designed for creators, podcasters, home studios, and anyone who wants to improve their room sound without wasting money on treatment based on guesswork.
Hey everyone ☺️
I built RoomTuned to solve a problem I kept running into:
rooms sounding “off” but no clear way to understand why without going deep into acoustics.
Most advice online is either:
- too generic (“add panels, treat corners”), or
- too technical (measurement mics, REW, impulse response graphs)
There’s a gap between those two.
So I asked:
what’s the simplest possible input that still reveals how a room behaves?
Turns out, a simple clap already contains a lot of information:
- how long sound lingers (reverb)
- how frequencies behave
- how reflections affect clarity
From there, the idea evolved into:
1- extract meaningful features from that recording
2- structure them
3- let an AI interpret them into plain-language insights + fixes
The hardest part wasn’t the audio processing. It was making the output:
- reliable enough
- structured
- and actually useful (not just “interesting”)
So I focused heavily on turning the analysis into:
- clear issues
- specific placement advice
- a prioritized plan
No charts, no jargon.
I’d really love feedback on:
- Does the output feel actionable?
- Is anything confusing or missing?
- Would you trust this over traditional methods?
Thanks for checking it out
