I wanted to create my first app, and I wanted to create something I would actually use daily. With a family and two kids, chores are a big part of our lives. We try to make it fun (think folding races), but motivating both kids and adults can be tough. So, I thought, why not make it fun with a rewards system? Being a bit of a nerd, the idea of "Rocket Chores" was born

This sounds really interesting, @woznothere! The rewards system is a clever way to motivate everyone in the household to participate in chores. I’m curious, though—how do you ensure that the rewards are meaningful enough to encourage consistent engagement? Also, have you thought about incorporating a way for kids to suggest their own rewards, or is it all pre-agreed? It could add an extra layer of excitement if they get to contribute! Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!

@ezshine It's a hard challenge to motivate people. What I found, talking with other families is that each can have their own things that motivate them, not to mention their own parenting styles. And that does not even start to tackle to cultural aspects! So my approach is to leave the control in the family's hands. At the start, the user has an option to use a template data set, which provides a starting point for chores and rewards, but then can adapt to their specific family. Some people really struggle with a blank canvas. They have complete control of what rewards they put in and more importantly agree to as a family. So if a kid want a specific reward, then it can be discussed, agreed and added. No cheating as all the rewards are visible to everybody! Over time I want to add more layers to it. For example "Battle Chores" , "stealing other people's chores for extra fuel, and find partners who would be able to provide external rewards. Lots of ideas and possibilities, and I am hoping that this will be just the first step
