Built to stay free. Always. rockdata.app is for people who love NFL research and want to understand why things happen. Using data from nflverse, we make player history, roles, opponents, and game context easier to explore. We believe every detail can influence future stats. All discoveries are public, so the community can question the evidence and learn together. We share research and discoveries, not picks.

I used GPT-6 Astra to build the core of rockdata.app, solving a problem I faced every weekend: cross-referencing NFL data across dozens of browser tabs.
Astra helped implement the backend, research logic, interactive charts, frontend, and community features, then debug and refine them through repeated iterations.
The resulting app lets users explore nflverse data, compare player history and opponent context across 5-, 10-, and 15-game windows, and share public discoveries. Astra’s role was turning my research questions and product requirements into working software that keeps the evidence accessible.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built rockdata.app because every weekend I was tired of opening 50 tabs across different sites, trying to cross-reference NFL data and understand what I was looking at.
I wanted one place where I could follow a question: How has this player’s role changed?
What has the opponent allowed? Does the same pattern hold over 5, 10, or 15 games?
Using data from nflverse (https://www.nflverse.com/), rockdata.app makes player history, roles, matchups, and game context easier to explore. We believe every detail can influence a future stat, and the interesting part is understanding why.
We don’t provide picks. The community shares public discoveries, with the evidence available for others to explore, question, and discuss.
GPT-6 Astra was my coding partner throughout the build. Its contribution runs through the entire core of the app: the backend, research logic, charts, frontend, and community features. I brought the questions and the product direction; Astra helped turn them into working software, then debug and refine it through repeated iterations. Connecting player history, opponent context, and consistent research windows was a big part of that work.
