Hey I'm Dave the creator of Roads Audio. Roads Audio began when some friends and I tried to start a podcast. Since we were living in different parts of the world, we would record 10-15 minute stories and upload them to a shared Google Drive. We quickly ran into 3 big issues, which Roads Audio was created to solve: 1. We constantly had to repeat what was said when responding to each other. Like "In response to what Dave said 2 recordings ago about..." 2. Google Drive wasn't built for this. It lacked notifications for new uploads, no ability to record in the app, and organization was difficult. 3. The plan was to make an actual podcast, but we realized we didn't want share our discussions with the world. Roads Audio solves all these problems by letting friends talk in a podcast-like format, recording audio directly in the app and adding audio comments directly to other recordings. This isn’t meant to be an instant messaging app, but a space for deeper discussions over time. If this sounds interesting, check it out and let me know what you think!

This is actually interesting! I feel like the audio sphere is still underdeveloped, and there should be more than music/podcasts/calls. So it's nice to see products like this that are trying to bring something new into the market. Great work.

@kyrylosilin Yes, there are two main methods for organization of conversations: 1. Channels: this is mostly to organize access, so if you wanted to share different topics with different groups of people you can create several channels. Channels define who can listen to the conversations, and a conversation can be added to multiple channels. 2. Conversations: each audio will start with as a recording (conversation) and then all responses & comments (roads) will be linked to that initial conversation. For example if I start a conversation about launching on PH and you respond by creating a road, it'll be kept organized in that initial conversation I started. If you later want to start a new topic you'd, instead of creating a road, simply start a new recording.
