Hi Product Hunt! π Iβm the solo developer behind Riddle Keep.
I love mobile word games, but I got completely burnt out by the current ecosystem as almost everything on the market requires internet connection, harvests your data, need endless subscriptions or interrupts your flow with un-skippable ads. I wanted to build the antithesis to that: a premium, native, offline-first experience.
Riddle Keep is a beautifully animated hub containing 9 distinct puzzle and party games. Instead of just siloing easy games for kids and hard games for adults, every single game features dynamic difficulty scaling:
Kids Play: After watching my toddlers playtest the app, I built a COPPA-compliant "Training Grounds." It uses a strict, hard-coded dictionary filter to purge offensive words so a 5-year-old can safely play 3 or 4-letter puzzles or play forbidden words game as a family with simple clues and 3 words to avoid.
Party Play: You can crank the difficulty and host a 20-person adult game night using a curated database of 2,800+ cards with up to 9 forbidden words.
Solo Play: Visual anagrams, word deduction puzzles, and offline crossword battles where you can play against a Grandmaster-level AI that has personality.
Transparent Pricing: It is 100% free to download and try the base games. If you love it, you can unlock exactly what you want permanently with simple, one-time purchases (all under $5). Zero ads. Zero subscriptions. Zero tracking.
Transparency Note on Tooling: As a solo dev bootstrapping this with zero budget, I used AI as a massive multiplier. I leveraged GenAI for the fantasy background art and trailer assets.
I spent the last year obsessing over the UI spacing and making the app scale flawlessly across a variety of devices, from tiny phones to flagships and foldables. I would be incredibly grateful for your feedback on the UX, the onboarding flow, or the puzzle difficulty!
