RevPDF is a Offline PDF Editor, Viewer, Annotate, Fill & Sign. Power features like Auto Redaction, Batch Processing, Find and Replace. It have utility tools like merge, split, compress, extract images, flatten, remove password, edit metadata.
RevPDF is built keeping privacy in mind hence offline and need no signup to use.
I love it. Saw it come through as a new recipe in homebrew. I'm so unhappy with pdf tools and am always looking for an alternative to Adobe.
What needs improvement
If there was a way to offer a "flatten" feature, that'd be great. I have a terminal script that does pdf2ps "file.pdf" - | ps2pdf - "file (flattened).pdf" currently.

Why RevPDF exists Most PDF editors are bloated messes. Many are 100MB+. Online tools upload your files to random servers. Electron apps destroy your battery and RAM. We built RevPDF because PDF editing shouldn't require sacrificing your privacy or your computer's performance. What makes RevPDF different Size: ~12MB APK (Android) ~13MB DMG (macOS) ~22MB AppImage (Linux) vs 100MB+ for Most competitors
Zero bloat: ✅ No signup, no account. ✅ Works 100% offline (internet only for optional Google Fonts, IAP on mobile) ✅ Butter-smooth UI on 5+ year old devices ✅ Truly native for each platform (not Electron) ✅ Your files never leave your device Smart editing: ✅ Advanced font matching—edits blend seamlessly with original ✅ Multi-language support including RTL (Arabic, Hebrew) ✅ Edit text, images, drawings, signatures, forms ✅ Compress, merge, split PDFs
Core Features Essential Editing: 1- Text editing with intelligent font matching 2- Image insertion and manipulation 3- Draw and annotate directly on PDFs 4- Digital signatures 5- Fill and edit PDF forms 6- Multi-language and RTL support
Privacy & Performance: 1- 100% offline operation 2- Optional Google Fonts (with explicit consent) 3- Native performance on all platforms
Pricing 1- Desktop (Mac, Linux): Completely free 2- Mobile (Android, iOS): Free with optional in-app purchases for premium features I believe powerful PDF editing should be accessible. Desktop users get everything free. Mobile users can unlock no watermark feature and no ads if they want to support development.
Who is this for? 1- Privacy-conscious users who refuse cloud uploads 2- People working offline (travel, secure environments, remote areas) 3- Users with older devices that can't run bloated apps 4- Anyone frustrated with 500MB+ PDF tools 5- Professionals who need RTL language support 6- Students and educators on tight budgets
The story After dealing with bloat and sketchy online PDF tools, I built what I actually wanted: fast, private, native PDF editing. No BS. Shared it on Reddit. The response was overwhelming- people were desperate for a lightweight, privacy-respecting alternative.
Current traction: 1- 2,200+ downloads on Play Store 2- 6,200+ downloads on desktop 3- 120+ iOS beta testers
4.6-star rating Loved by r/developersindia, r/macapps, r/sideproject communities
Try RevPDF if you believe: Software should be fast and lightweight Privacy is non-negotiable You shouldn't need to create an account to edit a PDF Native apps > bloated Electron wrappers
Download RevPDF. Edit PDFs. Keep your privacy intact.

Congratulations on the launch. Undoubtedly, privacy is a fundamental and non-negotiable aspect, as you mention. The tool seems very good and offers options that adapt to various needs. The local use feature is excellent, as it provides greater control over data and improves security. Additionally, the reduced size compared to other options is an advantage for those with space limitations or who prefer lighter programs. I find it very positive that these details have been considered, as they reflect a serious commitment to the user experience. I only have one question: for desktop computers, is it available only for Mac and Linux? That is, is there no version for Windows? It would be interesting to know if you plan to expand compatibility to other operating systems. This could help reach a wider audience and further optimize the tool's reach.
Best of luck
