Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Karl. I made Retold because some family stories are too important, or too funny, to leave as anonymous audio files in a phone folder. My nan passed away a few years ago. I still had a voicemail she left for my sister and funny clips of her trying to use Alexa. Hearing her real voice mattered, but the files did not feel like something our family would naturally return to. Retold grew from that thought. You can record a new story or import an old voice note. Retold keeps the real voice and turns the people, places and little moments into a simple hand-drawn film and a readable story on your family shelf. It is currently in beta on iPhone, with Android closed testing underway. I would genuinely value honest feedback, especially from anyone who has old family recordings sitting unused on their phone.
