Hiya! 👋 I built RetainerTracker after doing consulting work on Upwork and managing clients on monthly retainers. I've found that the "quick" questions etc. start to add up timewise and I got sick of trying to visualize it on Google Sheets (don't get me wrong I love a spreadsheet though!). Basically the problem I'm trying to fix is how a client on retainer can look fine at the start of the month, then small tasks start to pile up. Extra calls. More edits. Quick asks. Work that was not really planned. By the time you check the hours, the profit can already be gone. RetainerTracker helps consultants, studios, and small agencies track retainer fees, included hours, logged time, delivery cost, profit, and status. Each client is marked as On Track, Close to Limit, or Losing Money. It is not project management software or another timer. It is a simple dashboard for seeing which retainers are still worth the work. I’d love feedback from anyone who works with monthly retainers.
