I’ve been testing ResumeGrade to understand how resume scoring actually works under the hood.

What I like is that it’s not just a score generator. You can see the breakdown across multiple factors, so it’s clear why a resume is weak and what needs fixing.

The Improve feature is useful. Instead of vague suggestions, it gives specific rewrites based on your actual experience. It doesn’t try to invent achievements, which is a big problem in most AI tools.

Also liked the fact that it’s not just keyword matching for ATS. It pushes you to write things you can actually defend in an interview.

UI can be slightly cleaner in some sections
Would be good to see more role-specific templates or examples
A way to track improvement over multiple versions of a resume would add a lot of value

Looked at tools like VMock and Jobscan before this.

Most of them either focus heavily on keywords or give generic feedback without much clarity on how the score is calculated.

ResumeGrade felt more structured and easier to trust because of the transparent scoring approach.
