👋Hi, I'm excited to be launching Resoundly. I'm a keen podcast consumer and advocate. But I was surprised to learn how much (time, money and human resources) goes into creating, producing and distributing each episode. Consider the content creation, recording, re-recording (mistakes), production, editing, compressing, uploading, distributing... This produces great results in a lot of cases, but it isn't for everyone. Resoundly's mission to to make the process of creating a podcast, as easy as simply writing the content. This will (🤞) open the podcasting medium up to an even bigger catalogue of quality insights by brilliant people. I don't believe it'll replace the high quality audio productions we currently enjoy today. But it can serve under-represented use cases such as: - Local news outlets to distribute their (already) written content - Educators (teachers, lecturers) to provide material over an audio feed - Company audio newsletters - Bloggers to offer their written content in an extra medium - Onboarding documentation as a supplementary source Synthetic voices are realistically still in their infancy and will continue to improve. But I believe they're at such a high quality already, that makes Resoundly ready to ship. I'm an independent developer from Australia. I've got a feature list for Resoundly that continues to grow. I'd love to hear your thoughts - be it encouragement or areas to improve.

@mcnamee_ Would there be any way you can automatically create an audio version of our blog via RSS? (How do you handle the ready of titles and subtitles? Images?)

@jeroen_corthout great thought. It’s definitely on the roadmap, but unfortunately not a feature right now. I’d likely consider it more of a way to import and get started with episodes, but I imagine it would require the user to login and fine tune the audio output.

The review from @patrick_robinson says it all! I'm in marketing and funnels and I will say that if you split test this video with the voice from 1:19 ..the results wouldn't even come close. PLEASE beg the owner to change the voice on this video to one of the voices that would actually do the podcast. I am sure you have missed out on many many potential clients within the first 5 seconds of hearing this video. The reason is because you have an AWESOME that creates curiosity and a bit of skepticism which can be great if the video blew them away. But, its not. In our minds, the video's computer recorded voice satisfies our skepticism and let's us know that the catch is that the podcast would song computer generated and terrible. That's why you can claim "start a podcast without recording a thing" If I were you, I'd answer the human brain's question within the FIRST 3 seconds of the explainer video. Before we click we are ALL wondering....."How can we start a podcast without saying a word but more importantly WHAT would it sound like?" If the video started with....So we know you are wondering ....how can you start a podcast without saying a word ...but how about we just let you hear what it sounds like.... you can then insert the audio from 1:19 and then explain the how. You could even say, hey as a matter of fact, we didn't even record this video explainer. We wrote it and had our podcast speakers do the rest. I hope this message is taken well. I'm only trying to help because I think its awesome and I actually want my own podcast so I'd be very interested. I've only done two episodes and this could help! Whatever you do, do not use the current voice on your video ads or paid advertising. You will blow through your budget. Please use a podcaster in the actual explainer video. Give a taste of the product while explaining the product because that's what we want to hear anyway and its sounds awesome! So flaunt it! lol

Cool idea! I have used play.ht (https://play.ht/) extension for medium few times which converts medium blog into audio blog. I like that feature where user can add 'pauses' in text which makes it sound even more human friendly. Maybe it can be a cool feature add for this product too! :)
