@hunterwalk is it awful because of "how" the product is booking reservations or "why" it exists in the first place? Here in NYC, there's enough chatter about paid reservations or what restaurateurs are calling tickets, which ReservationHop looks to be employing. What's unknown, from the initial experience I had, is who's keeping the ticketing revenue? Is it the restaurant or RH?
@daveambrose there be the rub. i have no problem w a platform which works w restaurants. RH is *not* working w restaurants, making reservations under false names and then keeping 100% of the revenue.
@hunterwalk agreed. That's a significant blocker for RH to gain adoption amongst a very close knit group like front-of-house staff across a city such as SF. Word travels, for good or for bad, fast.
