Hey, I’m Anas, the developer behind Reqistry. I started building Reqistry because of a problem I kept running into while working on software: finding the right API. We still spend way too much time Googling, going through random API lists, opening tabs, checking docs, comparing options, and trying to figure out which API actually fits what we’re building. And now that coding agents are becoming part of how we build software, that old way makes even less sense. So I built Reqistry. The mobile app is basically a pocket Swiss Army knife for APIs. If I’m away from my computer, at a café, on a train, or just have my phone with me, I can browse APIs, compare them, save interesting ones, and find ideas for something I might want to build later. Then there’s Reqistry MCP. It gives tools like Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible coding agents access to the same API intelligence. Instead of me leaving my editor and searching manually, my agent can search Reqistry, compare APIs, look at their capabilities, and help pick the one that makes sense for the project. That’s really the idea behind Reqistry: make API discovery useful for both developers and the agents we build with. No more digging through huge uncategorized lists with barely any information about the APIs. And you don’t need an account or API key just to start exploring. I originally built Reqistry because it was something I wanted for myself. Now I’m putting it out there to see if it can make other developers’ lives a little easier too.
