We built REPLOT out of love for reading books and making new stories up. I hope to find fellow writer-readers here!
Here every page is written and illustrated as you play, so the story bends to whatever you decide to do, including things I never anticipated, since you can type any action instead of picking from a list.
A few things I care about that aren't obvious from the screenshots:
Stories end. Each one runs a set number of turns and reaches a real ending. It's a game you finish, not a chat that trails off.
The pictures remember faces. Recurring characters keep the same appearance across scenes, which took far more work than the text did.
It speaks 11 languages — and not just the interface. The story itself is written in your language.
How it works commercially: you get 20 free credits, and a turn costs 1 credit — that covers the scene, the illustration and the narration. You can top up by watching an ad or buying a pack. I'd rather say that plainly than bury it.
I'm here all day. Tell me what breaks, what feels flat, or what story you'd want to play that isn't in the library :)).
