The idea for Replly came from a very real problem I started facing after mentoring and judging hackathons.
I was getting tagged in a lot of posts—appreciation posts, project showcases, updates—but I found myself repeating the same kind of generic replies or spending too much time trying to write something thoughtful every single time.
That’s when it clicked: the problem wasn’t replying—it was replying well, consistently, and quickly.
So I built Replly to solve exactly that.
Initially, it started as a simple idea—generate quick responses. But as I worked on it, I realized generic replies aren’t useful. The real challenge was:
* making responses context-aware
* keeping them concise but meaningful
* and avoiding that “AI-generated” feel
That led me to evolve the product into something more structured—where intent, tone, and context shape the response instead of random generation.
It’s still evolving, but the goal is simple:
help people respond better without overthinking every comment.
