Hello 👋 I have tried a few apps for batch renaming files. All of them are great, but they do have some learning curve. If you are developers you already have some tools, regular expressions and javascript. So I have decided to built a bit more basic application but more powerful than others. With RenameNinja you can optionally write regular expression to export fields from filename, write JavaScript to create/rewrite/modify fields and filenames, and after that construct the new file names based on those fields. As simple as that. And yes, app automatically extracts EXIF metadata from Photos/Images, additional metadata from videos and audio files. It is a native app for macOS, has autoupdates, very fast and intuitive.
