Remote | Workers is a new site that lets people create public worker profiles for themselves which remote companies (and recruiters) can then browse and message if they'd like to hire. All to get you a remote job easier and faster.

Clearly there aren't thousands of recruiters and companies engaged on the platform as touted in the headline, so this makes the value proposition for remote workers questionable.
$5 to send a message is a pretty expensive option when there is no guarantee of a response, or if the person is really suitable for remote work, or the potential role.
Great marketing effort though, and good use of a well known personal brand to create hype. People can learn a lot from this for their own launches.
@brettbearham1 There's not, there's a few hundred sign ups set to "hiring", and nearly 3,000 set to "worker". $5 isn't expensive, InMail is $9,000/year.

@levelsio Yep. So my first comment was in relation to the headline "Create a profile and get hired by 1000s of remote companies". You have confirmed there aren't even close to 1000's.
Not sure where you are subscribing to LinkedIn InMail from, but the top level subscription is about $1,500/year, there are options that cost less, and many recruiters already subscribe. You can also buy credits for under $3, and get a "reuse" of the credit if the InMail is declined by the recipient. So I concede if you are a recruiter who doesn't already subscribe to LinkedIn, then there may be value, but so often you can still reach out via a message for free on that platform.
I will say though, kudos that you actually built a product, and didn't just do the classic "coming soon" or "landing page" release that so many startups/hackers follow now days.
Exciting! Though it doesn't have the same features, I hope it will become a strong competitor for platforms like Upwork (expensive for freelancers), Guru and Freelancer dot com (low quality in many ways)

I've been watching the progress this whole time on Twitter. It's amazing how you built this in ~30 days.👍
Noticed the following bug👇
The horizontal scrollbar is not working on Safari Mac. It works with Shift+Scroll wheel. But click and drag is not working, probably some minor css layout issues.

I am so impressed by how simple the monetization model is (and a little surprised recruiters would pay that much)
Like everything you release, I love the speed to market and the pure usefulness of the product. I'll be signing up for a remote worker profile for sure and look forward to seeing what I get out of the app!
Also, ID verification is a really nice touch for making the application more secure and legitimate.
