Imagine you bought new pair of jeans, and a week later they go on sale. It’s frustrating, but you can do something about it. Most stores will give you a refund for the difference, but if you’re not careful to follow their rules, you won't get your money. We want to make sure you always get your money. Refundmatic tracks your purchases, monitors for price changes, and claims refunds on your behalf. Just send us your receipt, and we’ll take care of everything else.

What is Refundmatic?
Refundmatic helps you get refunds whenever something you buy goes on sale after you bought it. These refunds are commonly known as "price adjustments".
Why more people don't ask for price adjustments
Based on my informal polling, very few people know they can ask for price adjustments, even though most stores offer them. Stores don’t advertise these policies, but they have them in place just for two reasons: (1) returns are expensive (and usually result in products getting thrown away), and (2) they want to keep their customers happy..
Even if someone knows to request a refund, it’s hard to do. You have to track everything you buy, constantly check prices, and figure out if you’re eligible for a refund when something goes on sale. It takes a lot of work and organization, and you have to do all within a set amount of time (usually 10-14 days of purchase). For some people, that effort just isn’t worth it.
How I learned about price adjustments
By accident, actually. My wife and I went shopping for holiday gifts. A few days later, some of those stores sent us emails announcing holiday sales. Out of curiosity, I looked up something we bought, and sure enough, it was on sale now.
I was going to return it then buy it back at the lower price, but as I read the store’s return policy, I noticed that I could just request a price adjustment. I contacted the store and got a $100 refund. I did the same with two other stores, and got another $200.
What led me to start Refundmatic
After my experience during the holidays, I started to wonder how many thousands of dollars I’ve lost over the years because I didn’t know about price adjustments. I didn’t want that to happen anymore.
I assumed that someone already solved this problem given how much money was at stake. Surprisingly, I could only find one app, but price adjustments was only a small part of a much larger, unrelated service. I didn’t want to pay for all the features I wasn’t going to use. I’ve launched and grown software companies before, so I decided to do it again.
How Refundmatic works
Refundmatic doesn't have a user interface. It is designed to work in the background. There’s no app to download, and no forms to fill out.
To use the service, you just email us the receipt for whatever you want us to track. From there, we’ll:
1. Log your purchase
2. Track prices
3. Apply for a refund on your behalf *
* Some stores require that claims be made in person. In these cases, we’ll provide you with instructions on how to claim your refund in person.
What comes next?
