Phil Klay authored one of the first books that really examines the effects of soldiers from the frontlines of Iraq and Afghanistan. The emotion wrought in the pages shows, and the book was awarded the National Book Award for Fiction in 2014, arguably the most prestigious award offered for Fiction writing. Absolutely worth a read.
