Hey Product Hunt! I made a chrome extension called Reddit Comment Scraper.
I built this because I kept running into the same problem: I wanted to analyze what people were actually saying in Reddit threads, Amazon reviews, and YouTube comments, but there was no simple way to get all that data out.
The existing tools either cost $45-200/month, only worked on one platform, or required you to write code and mess with APIs. I just wanted to click a button and get a clean CSV.
So I built a Chrome extension and just added more than 9 platforms:
Reddit, YouTube, Amazon, Trustpilot, Steam, Hacker News, Product Hunt, Etsy etc
A few things people use it for that I didn't expect when I first built it:
- Market researchers pulling thousands of Amazon reviews to find product gaps
- Content creators analyzing YouTube comment sentiment before planning a video
- Founders monitoring what Reddit says about their competitors
We're at 2,500+ weekly active users and a 5.0 rating on the Chrome Web Store, which still blows my mind and all happened without any marketing.
Would love to hear what you think, answer any questions, or take feature requests.
What platform should we add next?
