Hello,
Maker here. I built RectoPDF because every time I had to merge, compress, or convert a PDF, I was uploading personal or work documents to some random server (contracts, invoices, IDs and just hoping they'd be deleted. That always felt wrong.
So RectoPDF.ai does it differently: the free tools run 100% in your browser. Your files never get uploaded anywhere. No server sees them, nothing to delete, nothing to leak, it all happens locally via WebAssembly.
What you can do today (all free, all client-side):
š Merge, split, rotate, arrange & compress PDFs
š Word / Excel / PowerPoint ā PDF (and PDF ā Word / Excel / HTML / images)
š HTML ā PDF
š Protect & unlock PDFs
Bonus: because there's no server doing the work, there are no file-size or file-count limits like you hit on most other tools.
What's coming next :
An AI-powered suite: upload a PDF and fix, edit, rewrite, summarize, or OCR it using the best AI models available. Think of it as a smart layer on top of the tools you already use. These will be part of a Pro tier (running top models isn't free on our end), but the core tools you see today stay free and private forever.
I'd genuinely love your feedback: what's the one PDF task that always annoys you? And which tool should I build next? I'll be around answering everything.
