Receipt Universe is a privacy-first iOS app that turns paper receipts into clean, structured expenses using on-device Apple Intelligence. Available now on the App Store.
I just released Receipt Universe, a receipt scanner that runs entirely on your iPhone, and I want to make it genuinely useful for people who keep receipts for a reason โ business expenses, taxes, reimbursements.
What it does today:
๐ธ Scan a receipt โ on-device Apple Intelligence pulls out the merchant, date, total, and line items. Nothing leaves your phone.
๐งพ Keeps the original photo โ so you always have the proof, not just the numbers.
๐๏ธ Categorize, search, and see spending by category and month.
๐ฑ Multi-currency, 14 languages.
๐ Private: no account, no servers, no ads, no tracking. Data stays on your device and your own iCloud.
I'll be upfront: it's early, and I'd rather build the business/expense side properly than guess. So if you keep receipts for work or taxes, I genuinely want to know:
How do you get receipts out today โ CSV/PDF export, email to your accountant, something else?
Do you need reports by date range or tax period? A VAT/tax breakdown?
Tags by client or project for reimbursements?
What does your current receipt app get wrong or make annoying?
What's the one feature that would make you actually trust it for your records?
It's free. Whatever you tell me, I'll seriously weigh for the roadmap.
