RecapSynth is an AI-powered desktop app that automates the repetitive workflow behind manga, manhwa, and Webtoon recap videos. Instead of spending hours cutting, arranging, scripting, and syncing assets, RecapSynth helps creators get from source material to an editable video project in minutes.
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm excited to introduce RecapSynth.
I built it after seeing how much time manga, manhwa, and Webtoon recap creators spend doing the same repetitive work over and over again.
The actual storytelling is creative.
But the workflow around it often isn't.
Creators have to manually:
• stitch and slice long chapters
• crop and arrange panels
• deal with speech bubbles
• write recap scripts
• generate and sync voiceovers
• add motion and transitions
• build everything on a timeline
For a single video, that can mean hours of repetitive editing.
So I started building RecapSynth to automate as much of that production pipeline as possible.
The goal is simple:
Import your chapters → let RecapSynth process them → get an automated, editable video timeline.
RecapSynth can help with panel detection, page processing, scripting workflows, voice syncing, motion, transitions, and exports for further editing.
It runs as a desktop application for Windows and macOS, with local processing as a core part of the workflow.
We're still early, and this launch is especially important because I want to learn directly from creators.
I'd love to hear:
- What takes the most time in your recap workflow?
- Which part of the process would you automate first?
- What feature would make RecapSynth a must-have for you?
I'll be here all day answering questions and collecting feedback.
Thanks so much for checking out RecapSynth ❤️
